  • PAUL:

Stay away from cars with a salvage title, you never know what has happened to the car in the past. Was it a “write off” in an accident? Did it go through a flood?

    Keep looking! Good luck!

  • mccoyblues:

NO. They are unsafe. Don’t even consider it. The car was wrecked and the frame damaged. Find another car.

  • Smokinokie:

Ignore the previous answers. If you like the car, take it to a reputable shop and have it inspected. It’s not really that big of a deal these days. I’ve rebuilt several cars myself, it’s surprising what an insurance company will total a car for these days.

    It’s a VW product.

Even when in great shape, that’s a dicey bet to take.

    Salvage…don’t even bother.

  • Gary:

depends on how bad it was hit or whatever take it to a shop to have inspected.

  • Stupid Flanders:

It probably means it was a flood car and the undercarriage is rusting.
    I would look elsewhere.
